GIA Laser Inscription

It is understandable that you may want some form of confirmation that the diamond you are considering purchasing is up to the standard the jeweler is claiming it is. In this case, the best thing to do is seek an independent valuation that displays the diamond's true worth. This is exactly what you get with a GIA Diamond Grading Report. The GIA is the most famous grading lab and their grading system is the most well known and used. Read on to discover more.

The GIA evaluates the quality of loose diamonds, assessing the carat weight, clarity, cut, and colour. If they notice any distinguishing features or they think the diamond has been treated, they will record this in the comment section of the report. The report is then filed in the lab's registry database and assigned a unique number.

The most reputable jewelers will provide you with a GIA certificate alongside your diamond. However, for some people, this is not enough, and they would like to have the unique registration number laser engraved onto their diamond for a small added cost. This will be engraved onto the girdle of the diamond. The reason to consider this is because the inscription will prove the worth and owner of the stone. If you want to, you could opt for a personal inscription, such as a name or the date of an anniversary.

If this is something you are interested in, all you need to do is get in touch with us at The Jewelry Store NYC and we will handle everything for you. We can explain the Grading Report in full detail too if you have any queries.
